Petition to Increase Penalties for Animal Abuse in India

6 Jul 2016 — A young dog was flung off a multi-storeyed building in Chennai by a couple of students.  Activists from Chennai lost no time in tracking down the accused and ensuring their arrest. However, almost as soon as they were arrested, they obtained bail from the magistrate. The dog, assumed to be dead, was thankfully found by the leading activist team in Chennai. But her suffering trauma and the effort of the activists will go in vain yet again, like almost every other cruelty case because of the ridiculous penalties prescribed in the PCA Act. Act now to help us reach at least 1,00,000 signatures so the Government of India takes some notice of the cries of the animals! Bhadra, the warrior, like the dog has been named, is counting on you to bring justice to her!
