Time to end Horse Racing Now

Today has seen the start of the Cheltenham Festival, the so called “showpiece” of the National Hunt Racing season.

THREE horses died today at the Festival and this brings a total of nearly 30 horses who have died in racing this year of 2016 alone and horses are being killed at the rate of one every three days in this so called “sport of kings”.

The death toll at Cheltenham alone is 36 horses in the last 5 years-this has to stop.

CCA can see no justification for this carnage and calls for a ban on horse racing, which is a cruel sport and has no place in modern society.
